Greetings prospective Coach! My name is Brandon Yang. I am 5’7’ 160lb volleyball player. I played varsity Boys’ Volleyball during my junior and senior years as a starting setter and captain for Park Center Senior High School. I am also able to play as both a defensive specialist and opposite and outside hitter. I aspire to continue my academic career in higher education whilst being a collegiate athlete. From starting volleyball at a park with my Uncle who introduced me to the sport, to playing in a gym with others who share the same passion as me, I aspire to continue demonstrating my leadership, companionship, and positivity on and off the volleyball court.
Volleyball has become a huge part of my life and has molded my personality and identity today. I love and enjoy every part of volleyball as it makes me happy. I enjoy not only playing to win, but also being able to play with others as a team. Playing a team sport like volleyball has helped me develop and understand the leadership that comes with being a setter. My leadership position has taught me to bring positive energy to my team and that’s what I believe I can contribute in college as well. I also love to stay active by lifting weights and doing cardio.
My current GPA is a 2.71. I want to pursue a major in Law Enforcement whilst participating in my athletic collegiate career. I wish to put my utmost efforts into all the tasks I put my mind and challenges I face during my academic and athletic collegiate career.
These factors of myself are what would make me a great attribute to your men's volleyball team.
Therefore, I believe my attributes would be a great contribution to your men’s volleyball team.
With my passion for volleyball and my passion for academics I look forward to being a contributor to your team.
