Personal Statement
In college I hope to make an impact on a team whether it be playing consistently or as a backup, either way I will try my best to help the team. Despite only playing for three years I have been involved consistently throughout all three years. For example, this season I managed the girls team at my high school and was able to see the game from a different perspective than being on the court. I learned a lot throughout the season that has helped me in my club season this year with Nor’East on the 18 first team. Overall my game has improved a lot and keeps improving throughout my club year that will lead right into my school season. I will likely be a captain this year for my school team and this role takes on more than just the title. I will be helping othera improve their game by being available for questions and being able to show them how to fix things. This past years girls team my coaches taught me a lot about the game that I can hopefully pass onto my friends and teammates. Especially any new ones that might feel out of place. I’m very good at making new friends and making them feel at home and comfortable. However, I take the game very seriously when we play, but I also have a lot of fun on and off the court with my team. This happens to be the same way I am in school. I tend to be very focused and work extremely hard in my classes but I also balance that with having fun with friends and spending time with them.
