Personal Statement
Volleyball was always important in our home, I helped my mom coach my sister's 3rd - 5th grade CYO teams and have been playing since age 12. Initially, it was very difficult to find places to play boys volleyball, but we talked to a lot of people and finally found a great place to play in Strongsville, Ohio. During the 2019-20 season I did volunteer the whole season to keep score for BBHHS girls volleyball team. Playing volleyball all year whether it is club volleyball, high school volleyball or sand volleyball is important to me. College camps are really great and I find the different players and coaching insights to be extremely helpful in developing my skills.
Math, chemistry and biology are my favorite subjects and I'm leaning towards Biomedical Sciences/engineering, Pharmacology, but its still tough to narrow my college choices down. Being a part of the Marching band and being First Chair for Clarinets during the 2019-2020 orchestra season was very rewarding. For the 2020/2021 year I was not in marching band but took an alternate Marching band curriculum because my mother started some unexpected Cancer treatment in Late summer. I am open to being a part of the Marching band in College as long as it doesn't interfere with my classes or Volleyball
What makes me different from other athletes is that I train all summer long with a Physical Therapist/Trainer. Working hard to maintain good grades is extremely important and I continue to work hard to maintain honor roll. I have high energy on the court and really enjoy playing volleyball and having fun with team mates. I am not the athlete that gets mad on the court, that won't get me anywhere. I am very open minded about which school to attend and really want to continue playing volleyball in college and hopefully beyond but am also looking for a college that has a good Biomedical sciences opportunities. Thanks for checking my profile out!
