My goals for volleyball have always been to play after high school at the collegiate level since I was very young. I enjoy working hard and learning the game so I can get better. I have never had a coach that didn’t have something big to offer my game. I play because I love it and want to get better.
One thing that sets me apart is the ability to play more than one position effectively allowing me to play whatever is best for the team, whether that be at outside, right side or middle. Today, I am playing middle blocker for my club team even though I tried out and was chosen to play right side. The team needed me to play middle and I am happy to put the team in the best position for our success. I am also playing middle with my high school team but I do get a chance to swing all over the front row, which you can see in my video.
This high school season I have really seen my twice a week sessions with my agility trainer pay off. That’s exciting and I enjoy finding off-the-court ways to get better and cross-train.
I also have aspirations for my academics and future outside volleyball. I currently attend a high school that requires minimum scores to attend and get to be around some of the smartest teachers and students in the city. I very much enjoy that environment and feel lucky to be part of it. I am enjoying chemistry and interested in studying it in college.
I’m sure I would be a great addition to any team. I want to get better, I work extraordinarily hard on and off the court and I’m working on my leadership skills. I’m really proud of my accomplishments over the last 5 years I’ve played volleyball and I’m excited about what I can accomplish in the coming years.
