Personal Statement
I have always had a desire to play volleyball but didn't have the opportunity until my 7th grade year in middle school and I fell in love with the sport! In addition to playing in school, I have played 4 years of club volleyball working my way up from a regional team to a national team. I have always played middle up until my sophomore high school season where I moved to right side where I currently play. Along with becoming a better right-side hitter, I have been working on becoming a well-rounded pin by working on my outside plays as well. My videos show I am continuing to grow and get better on the pins. As a sophomore, I was a starter for our Varsity team and played every set the entire season! I became a captain for both my high school Varsity team and my Club team my junior year. Over the years, I have also gained a really high volleyball IQ that helps me to be more competitive and make the right decisions as the competition becomes faster and more difficult. Along with this, my U16 Club team came in 3rd place at the USAV BJNV tournament in Las Vegas. I was also awarded with 2nd team all-conference and All-Region honorable mention my junior year in high school.
Academics is a huge focus for me as I am planning on going into the medical field to either do research or diagnose people with diseases or illnesses they might have. I also enjoy playing the clarinet for my high school band program as I perform in the highest-level my high school offers and will continue to perform in until I graduate.
