Nicolas Folz '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello. My name is Nicolas Folz. I am a volleyball player from Ottawa, Canada. I am a member of Team Ontario (provincial volleyball team), the Ottawa Mavericks (competitive Ontario club team) as well as my highschool senior team (OFSAA).

I aspire to become a high caliber College/University player, and to help my team win a national championship. Furthermore, I hope to continue in my post-secondary education whilst studying engineering. 

As much as I know skill, talent and hard work are key factors to play at the college level, I also firmly believe that character and academics play a vital role, not only in Volleyball, but in life as well.

My passion for the game reaches beyond my teams; I coach future generations of the sport, I work at Volleyball based summer camps, and I am an enthusiastic Volleyball Canada fan. 

Moreover, my primary language is French, but I am also fluent in English. 

Finally, academics. As much as I am committed to Volleyball, my life at school is equally important. I am a straight-A student (or roughly 3.67 GPA), and I am actively committed to volunteering both in my community and others.
