Hello,
I began playing volleyball in 3rd grade and I have been playing club for the last 4 years. I have previously played at Kairos Elite Volleyball club in Sioux Falls, SD on the 18s team. On this team I played a variety of positions from libero, setter, outside, and even middle. Last year I played with the High Flyers Volleyball club in Lincoln, NE on the 15-1’s national team as an outside. We got 3rd at USAV Nationals where I was named to the All Tournament Team. This season I will be playing with C2 Attack in Tennessee as I push myself to be a better player by playing with and against the best.
Volleyball is my passion and favorite sport but I also play other sports. I played basketball from second grade to freshman year. I stopped playing because I have a love for volleyball and wanted to focus on volleyball. I am also on the track team. I am currently in high jump, long jump, javelin, and occasional running events.
In the fall I practice with the girls varsity volleyball team and I am a team manager. I spend a lot of time riding horses in the summer. I used to do 4-H and show horses up until this last year. Even when in season for other sports, I can usually be found with a volleyball in my hand every day. I watch both men's and women's collegiate games and learn a lot of volleyball strategy that way.
I am a good student with a current 3.9 GPA. Volleyball is very important to me but I also have a love for animals. I live in rural South Dakota and my mom's family also has a ranch where I spend time every summer. These experiences have made me want to become a veterinarian.
My involvement in all of these activities, as well as working part time during the school year, makes me responsible and good at time management. These skills will be helpful as I pursue playing volleyball in college when balancing the demands of schoolwork and volleyball. I am driven to become a better player and hope to find a college where I can pursue my dream of playing college volleyball but also where I can excel in the classroom and life outside of volleyball.
