Bao Andrew Nguyen '20 Recruiting Profile

I was fortunate to be born and raised in the States unlike my mother and grandparents.  Seeing and hearing all the sacrifices they endured so my brothers and I could be afforded the opportunities we have now speaks volumes to my character.  My determination, perseverance, strength, focus and willingness to always give full dedication to anything I do is our family's belief and culture.  Additionally, being respectful and having impeccable manners is required and necessary. Even though I may not be the smartest, strongest, tallest, or fastest recruit, I will continue to raise the bar for myself as I never want to be complacent.  Playing at a collegiate level, I understand and realize I will always be competing for a spot or starting position on the team; therefore, I have to continually prove my value to the team.  As an athlete, my commitment and contribution to ensure we have a successful season will be to lead by example as well as take initiative to make things better whenever I can. My ultimate goal is to graduate with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree while playing the sport I enjoy immensely.
