Personal Statement

Water Polo has become a passion for me.  I started playing my Freshmen year in high school and have been hooked ever since. I enjoy playing goalie as my primary position because I am the last line of defense and my teammates count on me to perform.   My first plans of playing water polo were to be involved in a team sport and have fun.  I have achieved that, but now that I have experienced the competition and seen my skill set improve, I have my sights set on being noticed by a college recruiter in the future.   I stay humble in my growth and encourage my teammates whenever I can. I maintain a positive attitude at all times and welcome constructive criticism as a way to make me better. This year my teammates and I volunteered at the Morning Star Fresh Food Ministry at Thanksgiving and Christmas to prepare meal boxes for the needs of those in our community.
