I have been playing team sports since I was 5 years old. While I had family who had played water polo there were never any teams close enough for me to get to because my family didn't have a car. In high school when I finally joined the water polo team I discovered a sport I truly loved more than any others, water polo. Having played other sports ( basketball, lacrosse) I was familiar with some concepts but was completely new to the specifics of water polo. Since I started playing two years ago I have not stopped and have played year round with two different club teams(Alameda, CCU) and take myself on an hour long commute to get to every practice. I know that to play at the college level I need to continue dropping lots of time in the pool and I am swimming hard both with my high school swim team and year round, 3 days a week, with a 6am masters team. I have a 3.88 unweighted GPA, perfect PSAT, and 35 ACT . I work as hard as I can and give full effort all the time because I know I have a long way to go to be ready to play college water polo and the only way I can improve and achieve my goals is through hard work and having water polo be a priority in my life.
