I have a strong conviction of setting goals and achieving the goals that are set. This is directly connected to my work ethic, integrity, and loyalty. This is the core of my make up. I am grounded with a strong foundation in family, friends, and my church youth group. I have been in Scouts since 1st grade and I am currently working on my Eagle Scout project, which establishes my commitment to follow through and complete long term goals. The goals I have are being a successful student, a successful athlete (teammate)-specifically with water polo, and being a person that connects with others in a positive contributing manner.
My collegiate goals are to be a student-athlete and to successfully enroll into a curriculum that helps me serve others. I have a goal of being a firefighter upon completing college. When I accomplish this goal, I will be a 6th generation firefighter. With an average career of 30 years that will mean I will be following a family legacy of 150 years of firefighter's and giving back to the citizens in our communities. While in college I want to compete for a water-polo program and continue to perform at the highest level possible. The team environment through water polo and hard work will prepare me for a life of service in giving back to my community as a firefighter. I believe I am a very dedicated person, I have always worked very hard going the extra mile for my team, and my coaches would say that I am very coachable in doing what is asked of me.
I will be a great candidate for any team that will provide me an opportunity as I plan on following the same practice as I do today, and that is to give more of myself to the program than I could ever ask it to give to me. By having this be my focus the benefit is always a team first attitude in and out of the pool. I absolutely realize that sports is a platform to provide positive leadership and influence to others and this belief makes me a excellent candidate for any college program.
