Personal Statement
I am excited to announce that I have been selected to attend the Azevedo 6-8 Elite Academy during this fall semester. I will be living in Costa Mesa for 4 months training with both Coach Tony and Coach Ricardo Azevedo 6-days a week starting in September. The first 21 days of training, I will complete a rigorous program where my progress and skill level will be accessed and measured by both Coaches. All training will be customized from swim sets to strength training to maximize my skills needed to successfully play at the elite level.
In the past 3 years, I have trained as a 2M player under Coach Dan Matulis, my mentor and club coach at South Bay United. This includes one-on-one private training sessions since Fall 2018.
My determination to play as a 2M powerhouse for a competitive college program has not been deterred during the Corona virus restrictions. I am a 2021 water polo recruit worth your attention. My skill, size, game I.Q. and character will be a driving force for any college water polo program.
Academics is an important factor in deciding what University I will attend. I am looking for a water polo program that supports their student in and out of the pool. I am seeking the opportunity to positively impact a team and be a key player to the success of the program.
