As the landscape of academics and sports change daily, my commitment to my water polo training continues in and out of the pool. I am currently training with Tony Azevedo and his father, 'Roco' Azevedo, both privately and in small group sessions. The past 3 years I have been trained as a 2M player under Coach Dan Matulis, my mentor and club coach at South Bay United including one-on-one private trainings since Fall 2018.
My determination to play as a 2M powerhouse for a competitive college program has not been deterred during the Corona virus restrictions. I am a 2021 water polo recruit worth your attention. My skill, size, game I.Q. and character will be a driving force for any college water polo program.
I enjoy being challenged, asking questions and pushing beyond my boundaries. Academics is an important factor in deciding what University I will attend. I am looking for a water polo program that supports their student in and out of the pool. I am seeking the opportunity to positively impact a team and be a key player to the success of the program.
I take great pride in leading by example and setting high expectations for myself and my teammates. This has allowed me to be an effective Captain on both my 16U-18U club teams and my high school team. I am determined, resourceful and developed a highly effective game IQ giving me an edge in the pool. I use the same focus and hard work in the classroom. Earning a spot on the 2020 ALL-STARS South Team exemplifies my commitment and hard work. I am confident I will achieve my goal of playing for a collegiate program at a prominent University by continuing to excel in water polo and academics.
