I started playing water polo in 6th grade as an outlet for energy and to stay in shape, but that outlook changed as I grew as an athlete and a scholar. I started playing water polo with a mindset to become the greatest player on our team, a person that people could look up to and respect, like the amazing players and leaders that I had to guide me when I was just starting out.
In school, my grades reflect the same ideals. I give my all to keep my grades up because I want to be successful, and my worth-ethic in class helps to keep me intensely motivated for water polo, and vice versa. These traits developed as I studied music and vocals under a great musical instructor, with music becoming a great way to sharpen my mind. Along with these attributes, my experience in the musical field has helped with my focus and with the ability to adapt to any team I play with.
I believe I could be a valuable addition to any water polo team, with my scholarly attitude and ambition to become the best version of myself as evidence of the immediate impact I could make on a program.
