Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Michael Maher and it has always been a goal of mine to attend college and play water polo at the highest level. I am a smart and experienced water polo player with great instincts, tremendous strength in the water and passion for the game. I couple those attributes with an exceptional work ethic and personal drive to be successful both in the pool and in the classroom. Not only do I strive to be an outstanding athlete in college, but also a great student with a quality education for my life in the future.

In and out of the water I always make an effort set an example as a leader. I work hard and motivate the others around me to work hard as well. This dedication and commitment, along with my natural ability, sets me apart from other recruits.
