Luke Matthies '20 Recruiting Profile

    Hello my name is Luke Matthies. Having played water polo along with participating in competitive swimming my entire life I have come to realize that I was preparing to have a future in college that includes water polo. Growing up in Santa Cruz allowed me to be in the ocean and pools my entire life making me a very exceptional watermen, this has enabled me to be extremely confident in any pool and game situation. My mellow demeanor and natural leadership skills let me become a trustworthy and reliable person on any team.

    Playing hole set with my high school team and achieving three league titles in my three years of high school has really made me want to continue playing in college. I have been working towards this goal for almost my entire life without realizing it until recently, I really believe I would be a valuable part of any team. As I have developed in the sport with my club team it made me realize that my experience as a hole set has qualified me to be a useful utility player. I will be graduating high school in 2020 and am looking forward to a bright future in collegiate water polo.
