One of the earliest memories I have of water polo was at a camp at Pepperdine University. The coaches held a "treading battle" to test our leg strength and I finished first among more than 90 field players. It was then I realized water polo was something that I could excel at if I worked hard enough. Today, I have that same work ethic and participate in a swimming and weight training to complement my water polo training.
I am a 6' 6" flat/utility player from Denver, Colorado. I play for my local club, the Colorado Pirates, as well as the Mountain Premier travel team for my Zone. I have also started on the ODP Mountain Zone team in both Development and Cadet age groups. I love to shoot from the outside and I enjoy using my height in defense as much as offense. My Cadet Mountain Zone Coach said in post-tourney evaluation, "Every team needs a player like you." I swim year-round for my club and high school swim team where I lettered my freshmen year. I've also have enjoyed participating in Combines, where I'm consistently a top-three finisher.
When I'm not in the water, I apply my work ethic at a challenging college prep high school where I've earned a 3.8 GPA, taking honors classes. I'm looking for a college that values a well-rounded student-athlete, in and out of the pool. As a Colorado native, I love backpacking and I'm working on my Eagle Scout Rank.
