Rowan Daughtrey '23 Recruiting Profile

Since playing for the Rocky Mountain Neptune’s for the past 9 years, I have played in both regional tournaments and nationwide tournaments. I have also played in the Junior Olympics 7 times. With Colorado recently beginning high school water polo, I was on the Arvada West High School team for the past four years, and was voted to be a captain on the team for the last two years. This year, our team placed 3rd in the state. Along with water polo, I have additionally been involved in many other activities throughout my time in high school. I am a fourth year letter for my high school’s varsity swim team and academics. I was on my school’s cross country team for the last 2 years, and was voted to be captain this past year. I was also on the track team, and created the Jesus Club at my school. Outside of school, I actively serve in my church in the youth department. 

I have always placed a lot of importance in my academics while being involved in extracurricular activities. At Prairie View High School, I maintained a 4.25 GPA and I am ranked as 18th in my class out of 410 students. I additionally have been concurrently enrolled with Front Range Community College, and taken many college classes throughout my time in high school. 

I believe that my passion for this sport shows both inside and outside of this pool in both my technical capability and my knowledge of how important teamwork is. I would love the opportunity to play water polo at a higher level because I could really see myself succeeding in both water polo and academics.
