My name is Shavano Steadman; I am 6 feet, 3 inches. I weigh-in at 190 pound and play the goalie position for my high school. I live in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida and have started on the Boyd H. Anderson high school varsity water polo team for three years. I will graduate in 2012 with a 3.8 GPA, 1800 on my SAT and a 29 ACT composite score. I will be retaking the SAT again in January.
I would prefer a college located in a small suburban town that is filled with school spirit. I am looking for an institution well versed in marine biology and located close to the beach. My ultimate goal in water polo is to be the missing piece of the puzzle for my team. Being a goalie, I want to make the biggest possible impact. In addition to water polo, I swam on the varsity swim team for four years, making it to districts each year. I swim a 29 in my 50 freestyle. My strongest stroke, in which I place most frequently, is breaststroke, where I swim a 1:23. I have an extremely high endurance, training with the cross country team when water polo season and swim season are finished. I am willing to travel as deemed necessary if it will result in less financial strain
