2018 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I am passionate about athletics and am working towards graduating as a 12-season student athlete (water polo, diving and golf). Still, I focus on water polo year-round, playing club and logging one-on-one practice time with my coaches and teammates. This season, I'm averaging 12 saves and 2-3 assists per game, leading my high school team to a current record of 28-3; two of the losses were in overtime and double overtime. We've won three tournaments to date and have had a successful playoff season, winning both Conference and Sectionals.
I am confident in my raw talent and continuously work to refine my game. In addition, the diversity of my athletic profile enables me to accept and appreciate various styles of coaching, enjoy the camaraderie of teams both large and small, and demonstrate flexibility and leadership as an athlete. In addition, I am poised to serve as captain for the water polo and golf teams for the 2018-19 seasons. I pride myself on being a steady and reliable leader in and out of the pool, and also work to bring levity to sport to help keep my teammates loose. There is nothing I love more than good competition.
As I look ahead to my college career, I can't imagine school without sport and plan to balance athletics with study in the field of business. It will be exciting to bring my sport and academic savvy to the college campus that will by my home for four years.
