Personal Statement

My name is Brennan Cumby. I am looking for a University that will help me succeed in and out of the pool. After jumping around from sport to sport throughout my younger years, I instantly knew water polo was the sport for me when I started playing my freshman year of high school. Water polo rewards those who are not only talented and hard working, but also those who are intuitive and disciplined. This is something that separates water polo from most high school sports. The mental game is just as important as the physical game and I thrive on team strategy. I am very passionate when it comes to my athletics as well as my academics. I feel that I am prepared for the challenges that I will face in college, because of the time management and balance required to maintain my GPA and year round training.
