Personal Statement
My collegiate goals are to find a great college that will suit me both athletically and academically on my path to success. I want to continue to grow so that I may create an exceptional future for my future family and me. My aspirations are to go to a college that will not only help me learn by educational means but also help me learn how to better myself personally.
The reason why I am a great candidate for you, your team, and your institution is because I am a hard worker, determined and a team-player. I strive to give my all and motivate those around me. I do not think being part of a good team or even a great team means that everyone can pass perfectly or shoot perfect shots or anything like that. I believe that having a well unified team with great chemistry develops unbreakable bonds that cannot be stopped. We either WIN or we LEARN. I pride myself on being an uplifting person, one that gets my teammates pumped up before a game. I ensure we are all ready to do whatever it takes. I put school before water polo because in the term student athlete, student comes before athlete. I can not be successful at water polo unless I am successful at school.
There are multiple traits that set me apart from other recruits. I represent my team in and out of the pool. I know that my actions affect not only myself but my team. I give my all, am punctual and give/take constructive criticism because that is what I expect from my team mates. I strive to better myself 1% every day of my life. Athletically I challenge myself to finish that last rep in the weight room and finish that last 25 yards during a swim set. Academic wise when I put my mind to something in the class room, I can complete whatever it is. If there is something, I do not understand I will not let myself drown quietly and I will ask for help. I am motivated and dedicated to give my all.
