Personal Statement
I have wanted to play softball from the moment I was able to pick up a ball. I have always played "up" because I am a fierce competitor and push myself to be the best athlete I can be. I will never forget making a poor play during a playoff game and not being able to go to sleep that night because I was beating myself up all night and replaying the play over and over again in my head.
I began my travel career with the Birmingham Thunderbolts where my primary position was 3rd base. While with the Thunderbolts, we won multiple championships and awards and I made elite teams that were formed after regular season. However, my desire was to start catching. It was clear that the opportunity would not exist, therefore, I joined the Alabama Twisters after 3 years with the Thunderbolts. I was brought up at the end of my 8th grade year to play Varsity for my High School and started this year, my 9th grade year. During the off season, I am enjoying being a multi sport athlete while leading my school basketball team on the court as the point guard.
I am looking to further my softball career after High School and offer versatility as a 3rd baseman, catcher and even short stop. While I have not decided on a career path, I am considering sports management, training, nutrition, etc. and would like for it to be outside of the state of Alabama. I am looking for a school that wants a hard working, dedicated and passionate person that wants to play softball!
