Alyssa Munoz '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Alyssa Munoz, I am an 18 year old graduate of Centennial High School in Peoria, Arizona, Class of 2023.  I love the game of softball and have grown up playing with organized teams since the age of six.  It has been my lifetime goal to play collegiate softball and I am extremely confident in my ability, skills and academics to excel at the intercollegiate level.

I currently start for the Arizona Hotshots Delsante 18U softball organization, one of the premier 18U club teams in Arizona.  I was a 4 year letter-winner, starter and a 2X 5A All-Northwest Region Infield Selection (22' and 23') and 2023 5A All-Northwest Region Defensive Player of the Year at Centennial High. I can play multiple positions including 2nd Base, Catcher and all Outfield positions.  I can hit with great consistency, for power and have a high on-base percentage.  I bat and throw right-handed and have a very strong, accurate arm.  

My college educational interest is majoring Sports Communication.  I am also interested in possibly exploring a second major or minor in Biology.  I have excellent grades (3.84 unweighted) and have taken numerous honors and AP level courses and was a National Honor Society Inductee in 2020 at Centennial High School.   I come from a family of educators, coaches and athletic directors  that have played at the collegiate level.  We greatly value and respect the importance of a college education as it is integral to our family's success.  Therefore, I believe given my background, upbringing, skills and training, I epitomize the profile of what a college coach is looking for in a student-athlete.
