Personal Statement
I have been playing softball since I was 6 years old, when I began playing little league. I tried catching for the first time at the age of 8. Immediately, I fell in love with the position. At the age of 10, I started playing travel ball. During travel ball, I also started playing in the outfield and 3rd base. In 2020 I began my high school career, but my freshman season was cut short due to COVID-19. During my sophomore season, I played shortstop and batted lead off. This was my first year playing as a shortstop and I adjusted very quickly. Now that tournament ball has started I am playing 2nd base and batting 2nd. This is also my first year playing as a 2nd baseman, but I am dedicated to getting better. As my sophomore season came to end I made the decision to start taking college ball more seriously. My main goal is to study Marine Biology. I would love to continue my softball career as I move up to the next level of my education. I am a very coach-able athlete seeking knowledge and experience. I am open to suggestions that will help me improve. The love I have for softball is unreal, and I would really enjoy playing at the next level.
