Alexandra Young '11 Recruiting Profile

Hello;
My name is Alexandra Young, I am a 5'7", 125lb fastball pitcher seeking the chance and opportunity to show and push my fastball skills to the next level. I have played on the Victoria Devils Midget "A" Team for the past four years, and have worked my way to become the starting pitcher. At this time I have four pitches; Dropball-60m/hr, Riseball-60m/hr, Off speed drop-55m/hr, Change up-50m/hr. Throughout the off season I work with my pitching coach Rob Guenter to maintain and increase my speeds and quality of my pitches. I have always brought determination, drive, commitment and motivation to all my sports teams, and especially leadership skills. As the team captain it is my responsibility to be a leader. I have not yet narrowed it down to where I would like to attend school. However, I want to obtain a good education and also follow my dream to play fastball in college or university. My athletic goals are to play on a team that pushes me and helps be become a better athlete and fastball player, while playing at a level that best suits me. I want to make an impact on the team my freshman year that deminstrates my hard work and determination. It has always been my dream to conquer all my obstacles and to achieve my full potential on a competitive fastball team. I am ready for the challenge.
