Personal Statement

Being from Canada, you might think I'm all about winter sports... no way! From the first time I played softball at age 4, I have been hooked on the sport and I do anything it takes to earn the opportunity to play. Though I love playing club softball in Canada, I committed to adding travel ball three years ago when my family recognized how the best elements of travel ball matched my competitive nature and appetite for playing high-level softball. Playing up with SoCal Athletics and NW Batbusters has brought me face-to-face with some of the best travel teams in the country and I come to the field determined to make the most of this opportunity every time. It's a chance many of my peers don't get and I make sure to do the work whether in Canada or the US to continue to earn it.

I'm a speedy, fierce, technical slapper MI that can play outfield too. I have a "head for softball"... I think on my feet and always look for the extra in every play. I'm coachable to the nth degree! If there's extra to be done... you can bet I'm doing it! From managing my coursework to continue to be on the honor roll while playing travel ball to advanced training two of my biggest assets (SPEED and SMARTS), I'm dedicated to being a high-level student athlete.

This is a really exciting time for me as a 2021 graduate. As I continue to develop my softball skills through training and playing club/travel ball, I am researching universities and working on identifying which programs best match my desire to play competitive softball while succeeding academically. I am super disciplined when it comes to my sports and academics- I work hard to be at the top of my game for both and I'm really looking forward to finding a home for my post-secondary years that challenges me in both areas.

Thank you for your interest in me- I hope to hear from you. ~ Nola

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
