Personal Statement
I've been playing softball with my twin sister, Maya since we were able to walk. Ever since I was little, I have felt a strong connection with the game. I have played almost every sport imaginable and nothing compares to the rush I get on the diamond. Whether it's hitting in the winning run, catching strike three, or throwing a runner out, nothing in the world can match it. Being a catcher my whole life, I have a certain connection with all of the players on the field because I'm involved in every play. The connection I have with my twin sister is what makes the experience all seem like a dream no matter where we're playing on the field. We have been best friends since the day we were born and we've done everything together since. I understand her better than any pitcher or teammate I've ever played with. Ever since I played in the USA All-American games in Oklahoma City, OK, I have dreamt about going back and contributing to a WCWS championship with whatever school we get the honor to play at. It would be a dream to go to the same university and play collegiate softball with her. It has been my life goal to play in college and utilize softball to further my education and it would be even better to achieve our dreams together. My goal is to be a pediatric orthopedic surgeon with an emphasis on sports-related injuries. In order to reach this goal, I aspire to attend a highly academic university that will give me the opportunity to get into a great medical school. I look forward to what my future has in store and I'm excited to see where this path takes me.
