Personal Statement
I have been playing softball since I was 7. I love the game and have played every position except cather. I am part of a highly competitive travel team that is consistently ranked as one of the top teams in our age group nationally. I am part of a team that wins consistently because we play as a team. Although we have a girl who has committed to UCLA and another to Oregon State, we don't have any superstars. Everyone does their job and we love to see each other succeed. I don't look for shortcuts and am not afraid of hard work and sacrifice. Being part of the CA Breeze has changed who I am as a person. I love to compete and see what I am capable of and want to compete at the college level to challenge myself against the best athletes in the country.
I am also competitive in the classroom. I am interested in a career in the medical field, probably nursing or phyical therapy and getting good grades is important to me. As a student athlete, my schedule is packed with studying, pitching, hitting and crossfit workouts and team practice. My headcoach was a pitcher at Oklahoma and understands what it takes to succeed in the classroom and on the field and she has been preparing us for that next step.
I believe I will succeed at the next level because I love the game, am not afraid of hard work and sacrifice and I thrive in a close team environment.
