Personal Statement

Thank you for viewing my profile. I have played softball since I was 10 years old and I hope to be playing for many more years. I have been around this game I love since I was born. I have seen the hard work that goes into becoming an elite scholar-athlete. I have two sisters that have played through the 18 Gold level, one of them moving on to the Division 1 level. I have been taught that to make it in this game, as well as in everyday life, it takes respect and understanding the concept of what it takes to be a good teammate.
My first athletic goal was to make it on my high school varsity softball team as a freshman. I met and exceeded this goal by becoming a starter on the varsity team, named Second Team All-League, and as a team, we were League Champions. My sophomore softball season, our team came in second place in league and I again made Second Team All-League. Last season, I was moved to shortstop and received First Team All-League honors. Hopefully, by achieving my short-term goals, I will be fortunate enough to accomplish one of my long-term goals by getting a scholarship to help pay for College. This would help tremendously, as I come from a large family with two brothers and four sisters.
