Personal Statement
My name is Julia Ceballos and I want you to know that family, church, school and softball have influenced who I am. Being the youngest of 3 children and being raised in the church influenced me to be strong in faith and physically in athletics. In school I have always been a high achiever and have always wanted to do my best in the classroom. I compete as hard to be the best I can in my education as I do on the field.
I have played softball since I was 8 years old. I've also played volleyball and basketball but softball was the most fun and my biggest passion. Team sports and playing softball has taught me it takes dedication to be successful. When I started pitching I quickly learned that hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.
Academically I have always been challenged by my closest friends. We all compete to be the best and get the best grades.School has taught me to be flexible and like in sports success comes with commitment. My plan academically for high school is to graduate with honors. I want to go to a college that challenges me in ways high school didn't.
I feel my greatest assets are I want to be successful at everything I do. Being selfless for the team while having a competitive nature and leading by example is what I strive to do at every workout, practice, and game.
