Personal Statement
I have just started my senior year in high school, and although I feel a bit stressed with school and what the future holds, I am very excited about the next chapter of my life. Softball is a very important piece to the puzzle for me and I am excited by the chance of playing in college.
School is very important to me, and a balance between school and sports has always worked well. I have held onto a 4.0 uw GPA and am challenging myself with AP Spanish and AP Calculus this year. I'm not sure what fields I want to study yet, but I feel that gives me great flexibility as I'm interested in just about most subjects.
I have really enjoyed high school softball. Last year, as a junior, I was selected for the first team all league player at 2B, batting .389 with 2 home runs. I finished top 5 in the league in RBIs and thoroughly enjoyed our season. It was my second year as a starter on the varsity team (started at 3B my sophomore year).
My travel team is called Silicon Valley Fusion, and the head coach is Robert Herrera. I batted .389 as well during the summer but feel I can do much better. My offseason has been focused on college research and getting physically stronger. I love practicing with a team and am not afraid of a tougher schedule.
