- 2020 Highlights #2
Personal Statement
I've been playing softball since I was 5 years old. I instantly developed a love for the game. I am a speedy outfielder with very good outfield mechanics. I take good routes to the ball and often times make diving catches.
I currently play for San Jose Sting 18G. I also play on my varsity high school team, as the starting center fielder. I was honored in receiving the "Freshman of the Year" award for my league in 2018. I was also named team co-captain my junior year (2020) until our season was cut short.
My goal is to play softball at a university or college where I can earn my degree. I maintain a 3.2 GPA and work hard in the classroom. I've been taking bilingual classes since I was in elementary school, with a goal to earn my bi-literacy certificate.
Playing softball has taught me how to balance athletics and academics. It has also taught me how to be successful and how to cope with failure. It hasn't been easy, and I've sacrificed a lot, but I wouldn't change it for the world!
