Annalee Ramos '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Annalee Ramos, I am a senior at Saddleback High School located in Orange County, California. I plan to major in Medicine/EMT and minor in business or vice versa. The goal of this statement is to express my passion and love for softball and to express my desire to pursue softball at a higher level. Softball has been a part of my life for far longer than I can remember. I have played every position and have taken the time to study every position, play, and rule of the game. Softball has opened so many doors for me and has connected me with many people that are now roles models and people I look up to. From a young age my parents have taught me to always challenge myself and push myself to do the best I possibly could. One saying I live by is "change begins at the end of your comfort zone". I live by this saying because you will never grow if you do not challenge yourself to things you are not comfortable with. Everything in life is a lesson and every lesson comes from past experiences. My entire life I've been pushed out of my comfort zone by those around me because they knew I was capable of more than I thought I was. One example I can give of this is in the math world. Although math is my weakest subject, I have always taken the highest math class I was able to because even if I failed the class I still learned something in the process and trying again will never hurt. With playing softball a lot of things are trial and error. Although I may get disappointed when I make a mistake, I can try again. This is a life lesson that I have learned through softball thanks to my parents and coaches. As a team captain of three years I have gained many new personality traits, the biggest one is being a leader and being a support system no matter what the situation is. As a captain I have learned that there will be many different and difficult obstacles in the way of success but that should never stop you from getting to your goal. Softball for me is more than a sport it is a life style.
