Jocelyn Rodriguez '19 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coach,

My name is Jocelyn Rodriguez MI OF, Class of 2019. I excel at being both an athlete and student. My personal goal is to play at a collegiate level and further my education. 

I attend Sylmar Charter High School where I have a 4.1 GPA in a full set of honor classes and I am scheduled for my AP courses my senior year. I'm the starting second base for our school varsity team, I've played Varsity since my freshman year and play on club teams during the summer and fall. My club team is Case Batbusters coached by Scott Barker where we believe in Character, Attitude, Strength, and Excellence both on and off the field. I consider myself a leader both by example and as a supportive teammate.

When I'm not practicing or studying I'm a Junior Auxiliary member for the American Legion where I support our Veterans by holding events at our local post. I have also volunteered at the Ventura County Rescue Mission during Thanksgiving preparing meals for the less fortunate. I love to use my leadership qualities to help people and I will like to continue this in the future by attending a good college with a major that will set my future in helping people.
