Personal Statement
I was born into a family where my Aunt played 3 high school sports, and volleyball at the University of Wyoming where she was later the first woman inducted into the sports Hall of Fame at Wyoming. My older sister, Mallory Winters, played D1 softball and was a 4 year starter at Butler University in Indiana. My older brother, Kyle Winters also a multi sport athlete in high school, signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball at the University of New Mexico. Kyle was a 5th round draft pick in the MLB Amateur Draft of the Florida Marlins in 2005. He played 8 years of professional baseball with the Marlins and Washington Nationals organizations. I have been pushed all my life to perform at the highest level I can because of the family I was born into and I do not plan on stopping the drive and push that has been instilled in me. I put 120% into everything I do, whether I'm in practice or in a game. I make sure I leave the field knowing I did everything I could and I want the opportunity to continue that while playing college softball. My family has taught me to never give up and to give my all in everything and they have not taken it easy on me.
