Personal Statement
Hello,
My name is Midori Williams, I love playing the game of softball ! I have played softball since I was 8 years old and on a competitive travel team since the age of 9 (Colorado Springs Thunder). In the fall of 2017, I joined a group of talented athletes on the 16U Gold Colorado Angels and look forward to a successful season with them this year. I love playing 3rd Base and pitching, but I have been called upon to play other positions as well, such as 2nd base, outfield and recently 1st base.
I am very coachable and pride myself on being a good teammate. I am highly motivated on and off the field. My goal as a student athlete is to maintain high academic standards and to continue to strengthen both the mental and physical aspects of my game.
I have always had the desire to help children through a medical profession such as pediatrics or physical therapy or to combine my affinity for engineering and science to pursue a career in prosthetics. I have always been very successful in the classroom and am currently enrolled in several AP courses. Together with hard work and relentless determination, I would love to play college softball at the highest level possible and receive a quality education that can provide me with a great opportunity for building a successful future.
