Haylie Wenke '23 Recruiting Profile

My whole life I have played multiple sports but none have made as big of an impact as softball has. I have been playing softball for as long as I can remember, and committed to a competitive team at 11 years old.  On this team, I was faced with many challenges.  I learned that you have to work for what you want and not everything will come easy unless you reach for it and work your hardest.  After this experience, I moved to new 12u team and coach who taught me many of the same things through the 2 years.   I have also learned many things about myself through this that I would never have been able to learn if it weren't for my coach, and the sport. I have learned that I am a very competitive person and as many of my teammates and coaches would say, I am a "natural leader".   I am coachable and love to learn new things to work on to get better to help me thrive and get better.
