Personal Statement
I am a 5’ 8" corner that has a love for the game of softball. I have tried many sports but softball is my favorite. I would like to continue playing ball throughout my college career. I have determination and passion to work towards my goals of becoming a better player and going to college. On the field and in the dugout I am very vocal and support everyone. Softball has changed how I communicate and work with others. I have developed more leadership skills as a corner and have become more outgoing. My high school coach chose me to represent the freshman class as a member of the 21 Club. 21 Club is a club that gives an opportunity two seniors and two freshman to meet before school for the fall season and listen to guest speakers about leadership and communication. I am also in track and field competing in the shot-put and discus. I thought this would be a good compliment to softball and help me develop additional skills as an athlete.
I am currently a Senior attending Erie High School. This year I’m taking AP Calculus BC and AP Environmental Science . I am also in the 4 year Engineering Focus Program. The classes will expose me to career options that I might further pursue in the future. In the last year I earned a 4.125 GPA. My goal for all throughout high school is to get at least a 4.0 GPA. I also participate in string orchestra and previously in jazz band. Prior to high school I was apart of Honors Orchestra, Yearbook, and Student Council. My goal for college is to attend an academically challenging school and play softball on a team I can make a direct impact.
