Personal Statement
My name is Alondra I am currently a junior looking for a competitive college or university to play at. I choose to play college softball because I have wanted to since the day I knew it was in college. In college I can exceed and show my skills developed over the years I have played this sport. I grew up first with playing baseball in my backyard. Then one day when I was at the local little league park I saw girls playing what at first seemed like baseball to me and then I learned the name and realized that I wanted to play this sport in college. I hope to fulfill my dreams some day and maybe make it to the Olympics if the opportunity is offered. This sport has opened doors for me since day one and when I learned that their could be more towards my future. I want to play College softball because of the joy and excitement this sport has brought into my life.
As a player I would most likely be the most outgoing and competitive player. I like to tell my teammates how many outs we have what play where turning, no matter where I am located on the field. I am most certainly competitive I like to make my throws farther and exact, every time I make a throw down I am looking to make the next one even faster. I also love outfield due to the running and I am always looking for that play at home once I get the ball. My teammates/sisters and coaches would also say that I always have to end on a good throw, play, hit, or catch. I have to end good in order to know that I am capable of that good outcome which means I can do it in a game. I like to learn new techniques, drills, or improvements in my skills so many say I am also coachable. I am very independent and love to learn new things, which is why I am looking for my next softball journey in college.
A program and coach staff that I am most interested in is a program where I can grow as a person and player. In an environment where I can succeed and my team can succeed as well. The coaching staff I am looking for is not a bestfriend type of coaching I would be more interested in a focused, competitive, and successful coaching staff that can help my team and me succeed as one. To play in college has always been a life goal for me and I hope to succeed and accomplish that goal in my future.
