Personal Statement
My goal is to play college softball at Division I level. I have been working toward this goal since I was 7 years old. I know there is a small number of players who get the opportunity to play Division I softball, but I believe I have what it takes to play Division I softball and compete at the highest level.
I believe I am a good candidate for a college program because I am coachable and hard working. I have competed against older girls and at the highest level my entire life. I continue to work every day on my own to get better. Being a team player and a leader by encouraging my teammates is important to me.
In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. I am currently a member of the National Junior Honor Society, and I am in the College Readiness program in middle school. I have been selected to be in the high school Advanced Placement program for next year.
Off the field, I strive to be a positive role model by helping others. During the summer, I volunteer as a camp counselor at a local summer camp. I also help coach young girls at the local Little League to give back to the sport of softball.
