Personal Statement
As a player I want to be both a student and an athlete of the game. Along with being a good all around athlete I want and am, a good student academically too. One thing that I think is the most important is my attitude. Having a great attitude in the dugout and on the field has always been key for me. I feel that attitude is just as important as talent, because you can coach talent but not a bad attitude towards the game. Another goal of mine is that I have always wanted to play college ball, and I carry a lot of passion towards the game. I work hard and will continue to work hard to get to the next level. On all my previous teams, I have been the fastest runner. My eighth grade year in our district semi final game, I hit my first OTF home run. My freshman year I received MVP for my high school JV team. At a JV tournament I hit two OTF home runs. That is when I officially got brought up to varsity. I started several games for varsity, playing either right field, or second base. When I was not starting on the field I was a pinch runner. I stole over 15 bases on varsity not including JV. I know that I am a very smart player, I always know what the play is and what to do with the ball when I have it. All in all, I will continue to be a great student-athlete, and be a strong attribute to the team.
