Personal Statement
Sports have always been a major part of my life. My Daddy was a stand-out baseball player at Calhoun County High while my Mama a stand-out basketball player at Southwest Georgia Academy. I have been reared around sports and been involved in them since I could walk. I have participated in many different leagues and have accomplished many different trophies. I am 5' 3" and approximately 135 lbs. I have been playing softball since I was 5 years old and it has always been my dream to play softball professionally. My love and desire for sports will never end, they will always be a part of my life. As a Freshman, I was a starter at second base for the Lady Warriors softball team. During that year, I received All-Region and recorded the highest batting average on my team. As a Sophomore, I was a starter at the catching position and recorded the secong highest batting average and the most rbi's. During this year, I also received the All-Region award. As a Junior, I started in the catching position and later received the All-Region and All-Area Catcher. As a Senior, I started as a catcher. During this year, I held the highest batting average, accumulated the most rbi's, broke three school records, earned All-Region recognition, earned All-State recognition, earned All-Area recognition, and also earned All-Star recognition. My Junior year I was chosen as a team co-captain and my Senior year I was chosen as the team captain. I have helped coach many younger girls softball camps and participated in many camps also. Most teammates have known me to be motivated, strong-willed, energetic, goal-driven, hard-working, trustworthy, and dependable young athlete. One of my main goals in life is to play at the collegiate level of softball. In school, I would like to stay in the South to play but I am open for any possibilties that may come my way. I am still undecided on a particular major, but I am wanting to persue a physical therapy degree. If I were to play softball at collegiate level, my life would be complete. Softball has always been my number one passion and I will do anything to fullfil that passion.
