Kelsea Moody '22 Recruiting Profile

My family has been a huge influence in my life because they have always supported anything I do whether it be softball, track, chorus, or my interest in the arts. I first started out playing co-ed tee ball when I was about four years old, but for as long as I can remember, I have been hooked on the game ever since. As I have developed and grown over the years I have learned that I am substantially more outgoing when I am surrounded by people who share the same interests as me. When I am amongst those with common interests I have discovered that our shared interest results in shared knowledge. As I near the end of my high school career, I have started to gravitate my academic interests towards mathematics. I enjoy problem solving. I am not sure what I will major in at college, but I still have time to figure that out as I move forward. In recent years, I have learned that keeping a positive attitude, even when the game does not go your way, will keep you and your team mentally and physically strong. Music has played an instrumental role in my life. I find it therapeutic on and off the field. The introduction to music has inspired my passion for the art as evidenced by participation in school chorus and learning to play the ukulele. Overall, I hope to land at a college best suited for all of my interests, but most of all I am excited for what is to come!
