Personal Statement
Sports have always been a major part of my life. I play basketball and softball for my school, along with travel softball for Georgia Impact. I am a pitcher, play corners, and have a big bat. I have been playing softball since I was 7, but I didn’t start pitching until I was in 6th grade. My school-ball team didn’t have a pitcher, so I thought why not try it. I started taking lessons and just fell in love with it.
I love to be on a team. I have tried single sports, like tennis and golf, but they just didn't feel right like softball did. Whether I am on the softball field or the basketball court, I drive off of other people’s energy, but when there is no energy, I love to create it. I am a great leader, by example and communication, and I am always trying to encourage people no matter how I am doing. I have been awarded Defensive Player of the Year and the TCS Lions Award.
I work very hard in school. In middle school, I was selected for all honors classes. Going into high school, I am taking all core honor classes with a weighted GPA of 4.5. I am interested in sports medicine and sports psychology. I love to learn about how our body functions and how our brain works with different things.
