Personal Statement
My main goal is to play at the collegiate level. I think what makes me the player that I am today is my need for perfection. My first year I decided to join travel ball I didn't make the team. This in itself made me strive to be better. I worked and worked anytime I could to be better and would ask for help from anyone I could. With all the lessons and practicing on my own I finally became decent but was no where near where I wanted to be. This was the year I made travel ball but continually sat the bench most of the time. This was around the time I decided to become a pitcher because I wanted the game in my hands. I worked and worked and worked at first I was average but I would say the winter of my freshman year was when I became exceptional. During the off season I would pitch two times a week on my own and I had three pitching lessons a week. This off season I went all in. We invested in a radar and at the beginning I was shooting an average of 52-53 and at the end I would shoot 57-59 average even sometimes hitting up to 63. As you can see my dedication and need for perfection really payed off. I think just the plain fact that I came from not even making the team all the way to being a starting player on an elite level team just shows how much I love the game.
