My freshman year I played on the Varsity team, which had its most successful season in school history; we won Sectionals and made it to the Super Sectional game. Walking in freshman year, I knew the team was full of talent. Some may find this discouraging because they may see that it limits their playing time. However, I saw it as an opportunity to grow as a player and really learn from those around me! By the end of the season, I had gained so much from becoming a better player to learning to be a better teammate and leader. Walking in my sophomore year, I knew I had big shoes to fill, but I was up for the challenge. I pride myself with being a good example for the team as I am a leader, hard worker, have a positive mindset, and accept criticism in order to better myself!
In my junior and senior seasons, I hope to continue to make an impact as a team leader and I am excited to see how the seasons end up. After these two seasons, I have decided to pursue playing softball collegiately. I am looking for a school who will first and foremost satisfy my academic needs, while allowing me to play softball and to continue to grow as an athlete.
