As my senior year of high school approaches, I have had a lot of time to think about my future goals and aspirations and I know that I wouldn't be who I am without softball. Growing up with weekends filled with tournaments and games in the heat, I know that I wouldn't have wanted to spend my time any other way. Softball has taught me to be a better peer and mentor to those around me, how to learn from my coaches and teammates, and how to respect myself and who I am, on and off the field. All of the vital life lessons I have learned throughout the years can in one way or another tie back to softball. I hope to continue my softball journey at an academically challenging school where I am pushed on and off the field. I hope to study neuroscience and spend time researching in a lab in my free time. I also hope to show young girls from all backgrounds that it is possible to succeed both athletically and academically. Lastly, if I am given the opportunity to play college softball, I will practice and play hard while taking advantage of every opportunity I get.
