Personal Statement
At the age of ten, my coach suddenly told me I was to become a lefty slapper. For two months, I achieved something I would never have thought possible, which was batting from the other side. I did not think I would be able to pick up on something more difficult as quick as I did, but that was the moment where I learned softball was what I wanted to do. From that moment on in the game, I have learned to have an open mind when it comes to the sport and also having this mindset when going into games. On the bench, I've always taken initiative and love to cheer my teammates on, and I do my best to bring up to mood of the bench when it is hardest. I do the same types of things in school, thinking positively with a growth mindset. This is something I live by. My hopes for college softball if I am lucky enough to play is to play hard, play to my best ability and have fun while doing it!
