Personal Statement
Softball stole my heart by total accident at the age of seven. Being the only girl of six I was signed up to play softball so I could play with other girls. I was terrible at first, I drew pictures in the dirt, didn't pay attention during the game but then the very last game of the season it all clicked. I played the following season and was noticed by another coach. He asked me to come to a travel team tryout. My parents were not on board with me playing travel softball. They made a deal with me. I had one chance to make a team. My mom took me to one tryout and I made the 9u team that day. Now at 16u I continue to love softball. It has taught me many life lessons. I love being part of a team, I am dedicated to improving, not only for myself but my teammates. I work harder then the day before to become a better athlete. I practice and train all year around. I am softball crazy!
Through softball I have reached some personal goals. I will be a four year varsity starter player and have an All-Conference title. During this time I have maintained high honor roll grades. My future goal is to play softball while working hard to further my education at a college level.
