Personal Statement
My goal is to go to a division 1 school and study to be an athletic trainer. I choose athletic training because there is nothing harder on an athlete than getting injured, not only physically, but mentally. I want to help them work through their injury and motivate them to work harder and get even stronger. I have a great respect for the athletic trainer at our school.
Besides my studies, my dream is to play division 1 softball. Softball is my passion....it's what I do. If someone ever told me to close my eyes and go to my happy place, I would picture myself standing at home plate ready to hit, or on the field ready to make a play. There is absolutely no place I'd rather be. I am so blessed to have a supportive family off of the field, but also to have my softball family on the field.
I have been playing softball since I was 6 years old, and knew right away that i loved the sport. I am constantly striving to better my game. I have a very strong work ethic. I will always give my coaches my full attention, dedication and commitment ,and respect. I am very coachable and want to take with me as much knowledge of the game that I can, along this journney. I have been fortunate througout my playing carreer thusfar , to have played for coaches that have not only taught valuable skills on the field, but also life lessons off the field. This has shaped me to be the person/player that I am today.
I will leave you with my favorite quote: "Yesterday's homerun won't win today's game"
